Decorative Wall Finishes for Orange County Homes, Applied In-House by Our Finish Specialists

SBK Group designs and applies premium decorative wall finishes - from microcement and Venetian plaster to fluted, metallic and sculptural stone-effect surfaces - for homes and commercial spaces across Orange County, with selected projects in San Diego and Los Angeles. The person who explains the finish is the same person who samples it and applies it - no subcontractors, no handoffs, no surprises on the wall.

You don't need to know the exact finish yet. We can help you narrow it down based on the room, how the space is used, and the look you want to live with.

Why homeowners feel safer choosing SBK

Applied in-house.

Every finish is applied in-house by our finish specialists - not a rotating crew.

No subcontractors.

Our in-house team handles the estimate, the sample and the final surface. Nothing is handed off.

Sampled in your own light.

We sample the finish in the actual light of your room before any full application begins.

Honest fit guidance.

We tell you where a finish is the right choice - and where it is not - before the work starts.

Based in Orange County, serving coastal and design-led communities across the region.

The Finishes

Seven finish systems, one accountable process

We don't treat finishes as trend products. We help you choose the right surface for the room - for how the space is used, the level of variation you want, and the maintenance you're comfortable with. Each finish below links to a full page explaining where it fits and where it doesn't.

Founder-Led Team

The difference is the accountability, not just the finish

SBK Group was built on one rule: the people trusted with a finish should be the people who actually apply it. Founder Igor Bakan leads an in-house team of finish specialists who handle the estimate, the sample and the final surface on every project - with a dedicated specialist for each finish. That model removes the weak point in most finish work - the gap between the person who sold the job and the person holding the trowel. With SBK there is no gap. You work with the people who do the work, you approve a sample with them, and they are the ones on the wall.

The Process

A calm process, from first conversation to final surface

A decorative finish is hard to picture from a photo. Our process is built so you never have to decide blind.

Step 1

Consult

We review the room, how the space is used, and the finish direction you have in mind.

Step 2

Confirm fit

We confirm what fits, what doesn't, and the right finish system for your space - honestly, before any commitment.

Step 3

Sample in your light

We prepare a sample in the actual light of your room, so the decision is made on the wall, not on a screen.

Step 4

Apply and hand off

We apply the finish, protect the home while we work, and close out the space with clarity.

FAQ

Questions homeowners ask before they request an estimate

No. Most people don't - and that's normal. We help you narrow the choice based on the room, how it's used, the look you want, and the maintenance you're comfortable with. You can request an estimate while you're still comparing options.

Paint adds color to a flat surface. A decorative finish is a material - microcement, plaster, lime or clay - that carries real depth, texture and movement. It reads as a surface, not a coat of color, and it ages differently from paint.

No. SBK's in-house finish specialists apply every finish. The people who give you the estimate and approve the sample with you are the same people who do the work.

Light changes how every decorative finish reads. That's why we sample in your room's actual lighting before any full application - so your decision is based on the surface in your space, not a reference image.

Orange County is our home base, including the coastal and design-led communities. We also take selected projects in San Diego and Los Angeles - ask us about your location when you reach out.

Portfolio

Real rooms, real finishes

Our portfolio is organized to make a decision easier, not louder. Each project shows the room, the finish system and the context behind it - so you can see how a surface behaves in a real home, not a styled set.

For Trade Partners

Working with an interior designer or architect

We work alongside interior designers and architects regularly. For trade partners, that means sample discipline, written decisions, predictable communication and clean handoffs - nothing changes on site without sign-off. If you're specifying finishes for a client project, there's a page built for you.

Ready to find the right finish for your space?

You don't need to arrive with the final answer. Tell us about the room and we'll help you compare the options, explain the tradeoffs honestly, and guide you toward the finish system that suits how you actually live in the space.

No pressure and no obligation. An estimate is a conversation about fit - not a commitment.
